The Magic of Macy’s is an environmental graphic piece I design at NBBJ for Macy’s new office located at 1440 Broadway, New York. The concept is inspired by Macy’s iconic parade and fireworks, and embraces the spectacle of the city’s celebrations by creating a Macy’s wonderland. The final design deliverables were created from collages ofvintage Macy’s parade photos, illustrated fireworks, hand-drawn flowers and other graphic elements. The city skyline pictured at the bottom represents New York City. The deliverables consisted of two parts: the 20x10-foot graphic on the main entry wall, and the smaller 10x5-foot graphic located on the other side of the entry.
